Steam carpet cleaning is where our name started. Before water damage became most of our work, Anthony's Steam Cleaning cleaned carpet and upholstery for homes around Joliet and the Will County suburbs, and we still do it.
We use hot water extraction, which most people call steam cleaning. A truck-mounted unit heats water, sprays it into the carpet with a cleaning solution, and pulls it back out with strong suction. Heat and suction together lift soil that vacuuming leaves behind. Carpet is usually dry in four to eight hours with fans running.
Before the wand comes out, the carpet gets a thorough vacuum and a pre-spray matched to the fiber. Nylon, polyester and wool each need a different approach. Wool can't take high heat or strong alkaline cleaners. Traffic lanes and pet areas get extra agitation.
Carpet that got lightly wet from clean water, like a short supply line leak, can often be saved with extraction, drying and a steam clean afterward. Carpet that touched sewage or floodwater can't.
We also clean after a water job wraps up, so the rooms that didn't need tear-out look right again. See upholstery steam cleaning and area rug cleaning. Call (815) 595-0220.
